I am full professor of mathematics at the
department of mathematics of the University of Leuven (KU Leuven). I am currently the head of the department of mathematics and I am a member of the section of Analysis.Up to September 30, 2000 I was a Research Director (onderzoeksdirecteur) of the Belgian National Fund for Scientific Research, now Research Foundation - Flanders (FWO).

                                                                             

I am an editor of the Journal of Approximation Theory

I am on the editorial board of the Journal of Difference Equations and Applications
